A token is created in the app

When you link your bank card in the Tapeeze app, a digital token is requested from your card issuer. This token acts as a copy of your real card data.

Stored in the Tapeeze card

The token is stored and placed inside a tamper-proof chip embedded in your Tapeeze card. This ensures that the token cannot be copied or extracted.

Works as your bank card

When you tap your Tapeeze card to pay, it sends the token instead of your real card details. Same PIN, same account, just a different design.

A regular bank card

When you pay with a regular bank card, a signal is sent from your card to the payment terminal. That terminal forwards your card number and details through a payment network:

Card (real card information) → Terminal → Payment Processor (Mastercard/Visa) → Your Bank → Approval

The Tapeeze card

With Tapeeze, the payment flow is the same — but what gets sent in the first step is different, and that's the whole point of tokenization. A token is sent instead of your real card information.

Tapeeze Card (secure token) → Terminal → Payment Processor (Mastercard/Visa) → Your Bank → Approval
